REQUESTING VOLUNTEERS FOR EVENTS

If you need volunteers for events we have an event signup system on this website that can send you emails notifying you of volunteers. Or you can just post the event and have people sign-up via another method.

Steps for posting Volunteer Requests for Events

1. Sign-up and select non-profit or contributor where applicable.

2. Contact us and tell us your screen name and about your non-profit organization.

3. We will upgrade you to "author" which will allow you to submit articles about your group and submit events.

TO SUBMIT EVENTS

1. After logging-in, click on the "more ..." under the EVENTS calendar.

2. Click on the "MY OFFERINGS" tab.

3. Click on the "NEW OFFERINGS" button and fill out the requested information. The BRIEF summary should be a short sentence. Place more information under "ADDITIONAL SETTINGS." With events always give the following information:

  • EVENT
    • Description of the event
    • URL or information about the non-profit organization
  • WHEN
    • Date(s)
    • Time(s)
    • Shifts (if more than one)
  • WHERE
    • Location(s) with address and zip so volunteers can map it using Google, Mapquest, etc.
  • WHAT

    • What will the volunteers be doing?
  • HOW TO SIGN UP
    • If not signing up on SVSD please inform how to signup.
